HAMPSHIRE golden girl Suzie
Opacic cruised to victory in the women’s championships at
Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club, despite conceding handicap starts to all her
opponents.
The
hot favourite, giving a 45-point start, beat Ruth Hatch in the final.
Hatch,
who turns out for Totton Conservative Club in Division 3 of the Southampton
& District Social Clubs League, said: “Suzie played very well.
“It
was great to stand and watch her!”
Opacic,
who plays for Super League outfit Park Gate RBL B, said: “Ruth played well and
a bit more match experience will improve her game a lot.
“It
was great to see the girls getting involved and giving it a go.”
