KEVIN
IMPETT (Chandlers Ford Snooker Centre) has earned a once in a life time
opportunity to play 2008 Masters finalist Stephen Lee.
Impett, 16, was one of 18 competitors that entered a qualifying
tournament for a snooker day at Salisbury SC with professional Stephen Lee -
where they will play a frame against the player ranked 26th in the world and
compete in a tournament with other top youngsters from across the South.
After battling through the group stages, Impett got past favourite
Jack Crowther and Alex Merriman before beating Doug Chalk in the final at
Chandler's Ford SC. Chalk beat Glenn Shefford in the other semi-final.
In the Plate competition, George Taylor beat Joe North in the
final.
Totton teenager Craig Wilson potted his way to a date
with Lee in the under-13 competition.
The thrilled 13-year-old beat Lee Sainsbury in the
final.
