HEDGE
End 12-year-old Jordan Winbourne potted breaks of 30, 22, 21, 33 and 33 in just
four frames to give himself an outside chance of a second Eastleigh &

MINUTES after losing to
Aaron Murray in the Eastleigh & District Under-13 League, Hedge End

action and take a 12-point lead in the Premier. Bouwe

Winbourne added 22 and 29. Jack
Forder won Group 2 and Matt Levitt topped Group 3.

Bouwe Bosma by two points. Jordan Prince won Group 2 and climbed to fourth in the Premier. Alex Walker posted an 18 break. Ross Leamon, Jack Forder and Elliott Webb topped their groups. Alex Everett, Matt Levitt and Matt Ireland tied for top spot in Group 6.

Friday afternoon Academy. Murray
(Eastleigh) scored the highest break of 23. Other

Bouwe Bosma and Marchwood’s Ben Courcha lead the 29th Eastleigh & District
Under-13 League after the first week’s action. Toynbee
schoolboy Bosma survived a black-ball game against Kane Bellows, from Lordshill,
to win his round-robin group. Courcha was making his league debut. Bosma,

afternoons from 4.30-6pm. Other

League’s doubles tournament that attracted 15 teams. A
black-ball victory over Lee Sainsbury and Owen Court in the final followed a

new league starts today at 9am.
Bouwe Bosma banished his
black-ball nightmare from two weeks ago to clinch the Eastleigh & District
Under-13 League’s Cavagnetto Cup for the first time. Black-ball
defeats by Jordan Prince and champion Aaron Murray on the final day of the
season denied the Toynbee schoolboy the league title But

Sainsbury and Harvey Dennis to claim the trophy. Tom

Chasing
two more wins than Bouwe Bosma in the last week, Wyvern schoolboy Murray, 12,
beat his title-rival on a re-spot after trailing by 13 points with pink and
black left. Bosma,
12, needing to win his final match to clinch the league for a first time, missed
a frame-winning pink and watched in horror as Jordan Prince doubled the black
the full length of the table. A
delighted Murray, who finished on equal points but with more frames won, said:
“That was so nerve-racking especially when Bouwe just needed the pink to win. “Fair
play to Bouwe, he played really well throughout the league and if he’d won it
he would’ve been a worthy winner. “This
one meant a lot more to me because it wasn’t as simple as turn up on the last
week and you’ve won the league; it was turn up on the last week, win all your
games and you still might not win it.” Owen
Court won Division 1. Callum Leamon took the Division 2 title for the second
season running. Elliott Webb beat second-placed Tom Yaldren to top Division 3.
